Frequently Asked Questions

Why does LinkedIn bold text look different in the editor vs. on LinkedIn?

LinkedIn does not support native markdown. Instead, this tool uses Unicode Mathematical Bold characters (e.g. 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼) which render as bold glyphs on any platform that supports Unicode — including LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram.

Will bold text affect accessibility?

Unicode bold characters are not the same as HTML <strong> tags, so screen readers may read them letter-by-letter or skip the formatting context. Use bold sparingly and for short emphasis — not for entire paragraphs.

Why does my post show ** or # as literal characters on LinkedIn?

LinkedIn does not render Markdown. Asterisks and hash symbols appear as-is. The tool will warn you if it detects these in your draft so you can remove them before posting.
